Come and See

Jesus found Philip and commanded Philip to follow Him. Philip went and found Nathanel and told him some good news: “We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” (John 1:45). Philip could hardly believe that any good thing could come out of a wicked city with the reputation of Nazareth so he asked Philip a question. “Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth?” (John 1:46). Philip responded to this question by saying, “Come and see.” That is what Primitive Baptists endeavor to do and that is invite all to “come and see” our manner of worship and the truths that are taught from the word of God. We see Jesus by an eye of faith on a regular basis and give all the glory to God and His Son for our blessings in this life and in the life to come. We know the true church will always be here because Jesus said. “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matt. 16:18). Come and see at Bethany or any other Old Line Primitive Baptist Church.–Elder Larry Wise
