- We were blessed to have an outstanding serivice of worship in song on Sunday night Dec. 11, 2012. We began singing at 5:30 p.m. after prayer and many wonderful songs were sung to extol and exalt our precious Lord. There was a large congregation with many friends and visitors from various churches. The singing was wonderful and everyone seemd to go away with an uplifting experience as a result of this singing. We surely desire to remember the Lord Jesus and His birth every day, but especially this time of year and what a better way to do this than in song which is something in which everyone can participate if desired. Some think there are too many singings during this time of year at our churches. Can we really have too many gatherings, whether it be in song or in regular worship, to honor our dear Lord? Surely each church should have that opportunity for its membership and friends who desire to come to praise the Lord and enjoy the presence of the Lord. These singings are akin to regular worship services in that not everyone can come, but those that can and do can experience a blessing that would not otherwise have been enjoyed. Not only was the singing outstanding but the food was in abundance and the fellowship after the singing was a joy to behold.–Dec. 13, 2012–Elder Larry Wise
