Mother’s Day will be celebrated this Sunday, May 8, and we wish each mother a happy Mother’s Day because they are indeed very special. Many mothers have gone on to be with the Lord, but their memories are still very vivid with all the love they demonstrated during the years they lived. Solomion said, “Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.” (Prov. 31:10). This virtuous woman was a mother as Solomon goes go to say, “She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.” (Prov. 31:27-28). Mothers that are still living can be told and showed they are loved and this will be done on their special day with words, card, flowers and other gifts. The greatest gift of all, however, is God’s gift of love that make our mothers so special. Is it a good gift or a perfect gift? The Bible tells us the source, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” (James 1:17). Thank the Lord for our mothers!–Elder Larry Wise
