September Meeting

Elder Ronald Lawrence will be bringing the messages during Bethany’s annual meeting this weekend, 2nd weekend in September, 2013. Services Friday night, Sept. 6, at 7:00 p.m. Saturday morning, Sept. 7, at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch. Supper at 6:00 p.m. and worship at 7:00 p.m. on Sat. night. Sunday at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch.

Please pray for this series of services that the word of the Lord will have free course with both Brother Lawrence and the congregation. Paul said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” (Rom. 1:16-17). Faith in the speaker and faith in the hearer accompanied by the Spirit of God makes for a wonderful time in the Lord. The presence of the Lord is something that lifts up the down cast soul so that hope is renewed as the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith.

The assembly of the saints is a special gathering of the saints of God to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. He has promised to be in our midst so let us prepare our hearts to worship through prayer and reading of His word. We can encourage one another to provoke unto love and good works. Paul tells us in Heb. 10:25: “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

Elder Lawrence has been blessed to deliver hundreds and even thousand of messages over the years, but he still needs the unction of the Holy Spirit to feed the lambs and sheep. Pray that the Lord will bless him in an exceeding way that all would be blessed and go away rejoicing.

Invite someone to come and worship with us so that God’s house would be filled, not only with the Spirit of God, but with people to hear and be blessed. As Philip told Nathaniel when he questioned whether any good thing could come out of Nazareth, “Come and see.” Come and see with spiritual eyes and hear with spiritual ears to praise God for His wonderful works toward the children of men.–September 2, 2013–Elder Larry Wise
