Bethany will (Lord willing) have its annual Christmas singing the 2nd Sunday in December (Dec. 11) beginning at 5:30 p.m. and supper to be served after singing which will end about 6:30 p.m. Come join us in singing songs of praise to our glorious Redeemer who is worthy of all our praise. “I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.” (Psalm 89:1). “I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.” (Psalm 104:33). We pray for the manifestation of the Lord’s presence as we lift up our voice in song as we are told to come before His presence with singing. If you cannot sing aloud, you can still sing in your heart as the Lord knows the thoughts and intents of the heart. The Lord also tells us in the New Testament, “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;” (Eph. 5:18-19). Praise the Lord for His wonderful works toward the children of men.
Point To Ponder
You’ve heard the saying “keep your chin up” and is usually spoken to someone who is having a difficult time. Well, if we keep our chin up, we will have our heads up which is always a good idea. We lift our eyes to the hills from whence all our help cometh as it comes from the Lord. (Psalm 121; 1-2) The Lord is a present help in time of trouble.
Verse Of The Week-02-11-2019
“Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” (Titus 2:14)
