Laundry

There are many lessons that we can learn from the subject of laundry. Our clothes get dirty and they need to be washed so that we can have a change of clothes and be presentable. As it is in the natural realm so it is in the spiritual realm. The following is a good lesson written by Elder David Montgomery from Texas:

LAUNDRY SOAP

There are three things that are a drag: 1) dirty laundry, 2) someone else’s dirty laundry, and 3) clean laundry that needs to be folded. If you talk about your problems just to get attention, that’s like showing the whole wide world your dirty smelly laundry. No one wants to see it so please wash it, fold it and put it away. If you are prone to bragging about how wonderful your life is, that’s like leaving your clean wash scattered all over. No one wants to see it so please fold it and put it away. Now Kind Readers, I am talking to me today because I’m the worst offender. If I am in trouble, I need to pray and ask for prayer, and then do whatever the Lord says. If I ever brag about anything, it ought to be about the Lord and his grace. This is how you keep your life uncluttered. Prayer and worship is not a drag but what happens when you don’t is very much so. I’m still learning.–Elder David Montgomery
