Can’t Please Everyone

It is in people’s nature to find a reason to complain and find fault and when adjustments are made to appease the complainers; it often times still is not enough. So it is best to just attempt to please God and let everyone else think what they will. The following story surely illustrates that you cannot please everyone: “I heard a story about a man and his grandson and his donkey passing through town. The man was riding the donkey and the grandson was walking and people complained that he was mistreating the boy by riding and making him walk. So they traded places. Then they complained about the boy riding while making the old man walk. So they both got on the donkey and then they complained that they were mistreating the donkey by forcing it to carry such a heavy load.”–Elder Larry Wise–June 1, 2015
